| Abstract: | 江戸時代の文献史料をもとに，史料中に記載されるツル類の名称を整理し，現在の種との関係について検討を行った。これは，文献史料を用いた研究を進めるにあたっての基礎作業として位置付けられる。本稿では，マナヅルGrus vipioとナベヅルG.monachaに関係する四つの名称を対象とした。“真鶴”・“”と記載される名称はマナヅルを指し，方言や別名もみられた。“黒鶴”・“陽烏”は，およそナベヅルを表わす名称として用いられ，一部でクロヅルG.grusを示唆する記述もみられた。“薄墨”は淡色化個体やクロヅル，“霜降鶴”は交雑種やカナダヅルG.canadensisを示す可能性を提示したが，あくまでも推測の域を出ない範囲のものであった。江戸時代には，現代よりも多種多様な名称が存在し，一部では史料によって想定される種が異なるなどの齟齬もみられた。マナヅルとナベヅルを示す名称に関しては大きな混乱は確認されなかったが，“薄墨”や“霜降鶴”については情報が断片的あるいは曖昧であるため，種を定めることが困難であった。今後新たな情報が追加されることで，より詳細な検討を行うことが可能である。 |
