Abstract: 妊娠中の受動喫煙曝露が児の出生体重に及ぼす影響について、この影響を修飾する遺伝的感受性の関与も含めて現在までの知見をまとめ、今後の研究の課題を探ることを本総説の目的とした。検索開始年は絞らずに2014年12月までに発表された論文について、(1)"Secondhand smoke"、(2)"Passive smoking"、あるいは(3)"Environmental tabacco smoke"と"Birth weight"をそれぞれキーワードとし、and条件としてPubMedで文献検索をおこなったところ37編となった。妊娠初期後半以降における母の受動喫煙が出生体重を減少させ、低出生体重やSGA(Small-for-gestational-age)のリスクを2倍まで上げることがわかった。今後の研究課題は、胎児期の曝露時期別による受動喫煙が出生体重に及ぼす影響についての検討をさらに進めるのと同時に、そのタバコ煙中の化学物質の代謝に関与する遺伝子多型についても解析し、明らかにすることである。出生体重に影響を受けやすい時期と遺伝的にリスクが高い群がいることを考慮した上で、妊婦の受動喫煙を避ける環境整備が重要である。
