The electric conductance of Au nanowires was investigated in 0.1 M Na_{2}SO_{4} solution using EC–MCBJ. The conductance of the Au nanowires was quantized in units of G_{0} (=2e^{2}/h), showing clear features in the conductance histogram. The atomic contact with a specific conductance value was kept for >5 s, indicating the relatively high stability of the present EC–MCBJ system.Elsevier2007-11-15engjournal articleAMhttp://hdl.handle.net/2115/32316http://www.sciencedirect.com/science/journal/00396028https://doi.org/10.1016/j.susc.2007.04.2180039-60280039-6028Surface Science6012252625265https://eprints.lib.hokudai.ac.jp/dspace/bitstream/2115/32316/1/p51-kiguti-v3.pdfapplication/pdf576.1 KB2007-11-15
