In this study, we assessed the utility of reflex bleeding as a noninvasive source for DNA analysis. By using the method based on the nucleotide-acid binding property of silica particles, we were able to extract DNA from the reflex bleeding exuded by some ladybeetles. In addition, using the extracted DNA, we were able to amplify and determine the nucleotide sequences of 28S region. These results suggest that the reflex bleeding will be a useful source for analyzing DNA in insects without killing them.日本昆虫学会2008-03-25jpnjournal articleVoRhttp://hdl.handle.net/2115/43827昆蟲. ニューシリーズ1112531https://eprints.lib.hokudai.ac.jp/dspace/bitstream/2115/43827/1/kato.pdfapplication/pdf765.32 KB2008-03-25
