It is shown that Ollendorff's formula, which assumes homogenous magnetic particles and insulation layers, underestimates the macroscopic permeability of SMC. It is suggested that the excess in the permeability is due to the local contacts among the magnetic particles. The effect of the magnetic contact is evaluated using a magnetic circuit model.IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers)2016-03engjournal articleAMhttp://hdl.handle.net/2115/61516https://doi.org/10.1109/TMAG.2015.24892270018-9464IEEE transactions on magnetics5239400804https://eprints.lib.hokudai.ac.jp/dspace/bitstream/2115/61516/1/Final_version_CMP-220_Yasuhisa_Ito.pdfapplication/pdf636.25 KB2016-03
