The early softening, the increase of pressure drop, and meltdown temperature were observed at lower temperature with increase of Al2O3 content. From the simultaneous X ray observation of reduction process and EPMA and SEM analysis of quenched samples, a relatively large amount of Wüstite-Gehlenite eutectic phase was observed in the early stage of reduction process at high Al2O3 content sintered ores.
