Iridium complexes generated from Ir(I) precursors and 2,2'-bipyridine ligands efficiently catalyzed the reactions of arenes and heteroarenes with bis(pinacolato)diboron or pinacolborane to produce a variety of aryl- and heteroarylboron compounds. The catalytic cycle involves the formation of a tris(boryl)iridium(III) species and its oxidative addition to an aromatic C–H bond.Journal Articleapplication/pdfhttp://hdl.handle.net/2115/56360https://eprints.lib.hokudai.ac.jp/dspace/bitstream/2115/56360/1/Iridium-catalyzed%20borylation.pdf0033-45451365-3075Pure and Applied Chemistry787136913752006enginfo:doi/10.1351/pac200678071369publisher
