The starvation tolerance period was shortened with increasing temperature. This study suggests that newly hatched Pacific saury can survive for approximately 5-10 days (50% mortality period) without feeding in 10-25°C under non-predator conditions, but such an extended period of starvation is considered to affect subsequent growth and survival.Japanese Society for Aquaculture ScienceJournal Articleapplication/pdfhttp://hdl.handle.net/2115/74032https://eprints.lib.hokudai.ac.jp/dspace/bitstream/2115/74032/1/Nakaya%20et%20al%20AS57.pdfAquaculture Sci.570371-42176256262009-12-20enginfo:doi/10.11233/aquaculturesci.57.625© 2009 日本水産増殖学会publisher
