An interview survey was conducted with three women in their thirties, and the results were analyzed based on Trajectory Equifinality Model. It is presumed that the gap between the internalized ideal self and the real self and the ability to have a professional identity but not the identity of a wife or mother, which makes it difficult to have self-esteem are related to the difficulty of living. There was also a tendency to regard the difficulty of living as being caused by one's personal factors. It was hypothesized that the difficulty of living in modern Japanese society is the difficulty of having self-esteem.
