| Abstract: | 本提案は、2008年度日本建築学会技術部門設計競技「公共建築の再構成と更新のための計画技術」へ応募し、優秀賞を獲得したものである。検討プロセスにおいては、公共建築であるがゆえのサービスと場所の公共性をどのように考えデザインするのか、そして、再構成・更新される公共建築がこれからの将来においてどのようにその地域に関わっていくのか、それらを実際的な道筋としてイメージできる内容となることを目指した。また、TERAKOYAというネーミングは、地域住民のファンドによる自立したコミュニティ・スクールであることを表現することを意図したものである。寺子屋は、江戸時代に民主体の総合人間教育機関として広く浸透していたものであり、お上・官による制度的な教育施設整備ではない、コミュニティ・ベースドな教育拠点であった。本提案とその優秀賞の獲得は、北海道新聞（2008年11月29日）にも取り上げられ、北海道における少子化問題や公立学校の統廃合問題への市民やメディアの関心が高さが伺える。 |
