Abstract: Cellular automata induced by quantization of coupled map lattice are investigated. The following results were obtained by the numerical experiments. The 29 states on each cell is sufficient for equivalent dynamics, and at least 26 states are necessary for qualitative dynamics. We also develop a theory to assure the conditions.
