| Abstract: | 本研究の目的は，①北海道の初任期の高校教員が直面する困難は何であるかを明らかにすること，②その困難はなぜ生じるのか探索すること，である。初任期の教員は，同僚との関係，教科指導，部活動指導に困難を感じていた。同僚との関係では，勤務校の教員構成の問題であり，頼ることのできる先輩教員がいないことの不安や，担当が１人であることの重責，さらには，変化しなく意見できない職場に主体的に直面することで，困難を感じていた。教科や部活動では，力がないと自覚している初任期の教員が，力をつけるための時間の余裕や，研修・研究の機会がないことが分かった。その最大の理由は多忙であり，仕事がそもそも多すぎること，部活動等によって時間が拘束されそれ以外の時間が制約されること，その結果として研修や研究の機会が持てないことが明らかとなった。このような初任期の困難は，郡部小規模校で勤務している初任期の教員に顕著に見られた。 | | The purpose of this research is to (1) clarify the difficulties that novice high school teachers in Hokkaido face, and (2) explore why these things are occurred. The novice high school teachers experience difficulties in two ways. First, they felt difficulties in relationships with colleagues. This is a problem of the structure of school teachers at the school. It occurred from anxieties about having no senior teachers to rely on, heavy responsibilities, and the monolithic workplace.
Next, teaching in class and advising to club are stressful for novice high school teachers because they have no confidence to teach students. They also do not have time to acquire skills and get opportunities for training. These above reasons are caused by being too busy, having too many responsibilities, and lacking time, so they cannot learn about teaching deeply. This is the main cause of difficulties for novice high school teachers.
In addition, these difficulties are particularly observed among teachers working at small schools in urban areas. |
