Abstract: Terbium oxide nanoparticles, TbOx nanoparticles, were synthesized by the thermal reaction of Tb(III) complexes as a single-source precursor with acetylacetone (acac) or hexafluoroacetylacetone (hfa). Thermal decomposition processes of Tb(III) complexes for preparation of TbOx nanoparticles were characterized by the thermogravimetric analysis (TGA). The prepared TbOx nanoparticles were identified using XRD and TEM measurements.
