| Abstract: | 現在，民族共生象徴空間，通称ウポポイの準備が進められている。その目的のひとつとして，アイヌ文化の担い手の育成が挙げられているなど，アイヌ文化に注目が集まっている。しかし，それぞれの地域のアイヌ文化伝承を担うアイヌ文化保存会の活動はほとんど明らかにされてこなかった。そこで，本稿ではアイヌ文化保存会の会長などの代表者に対するインタビュー調査を行った。まず明らかになったのは，アイヌ文化保存会が設立されていく当初から，アイヌ文化保存会同士のアイヌ・ネットワークが，それぞれの地域の文化伝承を支えてきたことである。しかし，その支えだけではもはや十分でなく，活動の高齢化に悩む地域が存在している。その要因として，高齢化に悩んでいるアイヌ文化保存会を取り巻く地域が，アイヌ文化を地域文化として包摂しようとしていないという問題が挙げられる。 | | The construction of the National Ainu Museum and Park, known as Upopoi, is currently underway with the aim of opening in April 2020. One of the objectives of the project is to foster the development of Ainu culture, and so Ainu culture is attracting attention. However, the activities of the Ainu Culture Preservation Societies, which are responsible for the inheritance of Ainu culture in their respective regions, have remained largely unexplored. Therefore, in this paper, interviews were conducted in Obihiro, Niikappu, Urakawa, Mitsuishi, and Shiranuka with the leaders of the Ainu Culture Preservation Societies and other representatives. The first thing that became clear was that from the beginning of the establishment of the Ainu Culture Preservation Societies, the Ainu network among the Ainu Culture Preservation Societies had supported the cultural inheritance of each region. For example, in Shiranuka, the Ainu network has made it possible to pass down traditional dance. However, that support alone is no longer enough, and the Ainu Culture Preservation Societies in Niikappu, Urakawa, and Mitsuishi suffer from an ageing of activities. One of the reasons for this is that the areas surrounding the Ainu Culture Preservation Societies, which is suffering from an aging population, is not trying to include Ainu culture as a local culture. |
