Renal histopathological analysis was performed at 168 hr after a clinical dose of cisplatin injection in dogs. The section was stained by immunohistochemistry for Iba-1, a macrophage marker. The Iba-1-positive cells are detected in the tubulointerstitium of the kidney. This is cisplatin administration set up inflammation at the tubulointerstitum.
