The purpose of this study is to evaluate the upland field landscapes improved by the rural improvement project by applying CVM to economically evaluate the upland field landscapes. Questionnaires were conducted for B town and C town. The main findings of the analysis are listed below :・According to the result of CVM estimation, the WTP per household for the upland field landscapes was 9,326yen.・It can be concluded that the total WTP of all B town and C town households amounts to approximately 1,869millions.・The ratio of the upland field landscapes effected by the total benefits is about 4％. The estimated WTP through CVM is expected to be utilized as useful information of the multifunctionality effects of agriculture by the project.
