Abstract

プラストキノンは,光合成電子伝達系の光化学系IIとシトクロムb6/f複合体を仲介する電子伝達体として機能しており,その酸化還元状態により反応中心などのタンパク質の転写が調節されている.本章では,緑葉,葉緑体からの酸化型・還元型プラストキノン類の一般的な抽出・分析方法に加え,微量試料での定量法について紹介する.
Plastoquinone is a major plant quinone in chloroplasts, and its function in photosynthesis is to act as electron redox-mediator between PSII and cytochromb6/f complexes and hydrogen pump across the thylakoid membranes. Many cellular responses to variable environments are carried out via the redox state of the plastoquinone-pool as function of a redox sensor in chloroplasts. In this chapter, I introduce plant quinone analytical methods with high performance liquid chromatography which has high sensitive and selective methods. Biosynthesis, principle of analysis and quinone determination of plastoquinones have been described.
