Abstract
葉緑体形質転換は,葉緑体遺伝子発現機構や遺伝子産物の機能解析などの基礎研究から有用タンパク質の生産などの応用研究まで広く利用されている.本章では,パーティクルデリバリー法によるタバコ葉緑体形質転換法を紹介する.
Plastids of plants carry their own genomes and gene expression system. Plastid transformation is a powerful tool to study gene expression system and functions of gene products encoded in plastid genomes. This chapter describes a biolistic method to obtain tobacco plants that carry stably transformed plastid genomes.
