The international prices of oil and cereals have increased from 2003 to 2008. It has had a significant impact on Japan because Japan imports a lot of them. This study adopts an equilibrium pricing model that is one of input-output analysis and measures the ripple effect caused by the imported oil and cereals price hike. The result is following. ·The sector that has been effected the most is crude and refined products. ·Another sector that has been greatly effected is processing industry of cereals such as feed industry and flour milling and animal husbandry using feed.
