小論は、文体の混用のうち、「です・ます」体が基調の文章に「だ・である」体が混用される事例を取り上げ、その構造的・機能的分類と出現形態を考察した上で、指導上の対応に言及したものである。分析の結果、「だ・である」体の文は13の構造・機能に分類され、さらに考察の結果、「です・ます」体の文章への「だ・である」体の混用は、[問い→思考の枠組み設定→解答] という流れの中で思考の各段階を表示する文を形成する際に発生すると考えられた。最後に、混用を非日本語母語話者の学習者に指導することについて、日本語教育史的観点から同化主義に繋がる懸念があることを表明した。
This study analyzes cases of stylistic mixture of abrupt style (da/dearu) sentences into formal style (desu/masu) sentences and classifies them structurally and functionally. In addition, the author refers to pedagogical treatments of these stylistic mixtures. Based on the analysis, it was found that the mixture of abrupt style sentences is classified into thirteen types of structures/functions. Furthermore, it was found that the mixture of abrupt style sentences occurs when the text-producer constructs a sentence expressing each stage of his/her thought in a stream from a question to an answer by way of frame-making thought. Finally, the author indicates a pedagogical anxiety that teaching of the stylistic mixture would be culturally assimilative (ethnocentric) from the viewpoint of historical study on Japanese language teaching.
