The genus Orthoperus Stephens, l829 from Japan is revised. The following five species: O. sibiricus Bowestead, 2000, O. japonicus Matthews, 1899, O. nikitskyi Bowestead, 2000, O. pulchellus sp. n., and O. grandiculus sp. n. are described and provided with short notes on their biology. Males of O. japonicus and O. nikitskyi are described for the first time. A key to Japanese species is given.
