Abstract
宇宙航空研究開発機構（JAXA）は, 欧州宇宙機関（ESA）と共同で, 雲エアロゾル放射観測衛星「EarthCARE (Earth Clouds, Aerosols, and Radiation Explorer)」の開発を行っている. Earth-CAREミッションの主要な目的は, 地球放射収支と気候の観点から雲とエアロゾルおよびそれらの相互作用についての我々の理解を深め, 大気モデルにおけるそれらの表現を良くすることである. そのためにJAXAはNICTと共同で雲プロファイリングレーダ（CPR）を開発している. Earth-CAREのデータプロダクトは, 観測開始後一定の評価を行った後, 公開される.
Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) is conducting the development of the Earth Clouds, Aerosols and Radiation Explorer (EarthCARE) in collaboration with European Space Agency (ESA). The main object of the EarthCARE mission is to deepen our understanding, in terms of the earth’s radiation budget and climate, of cloud and aerosol and their interaction, and to improve their simulation in the atmospheric models. In order to achieve this,JAXA is developing the cloud profiling radar (CPR) in collaboration with NICT. The EarthCARE data products will be open to public after a certain evaluation after the start of the observation.
