Abstract

The business size of poultry framing has expanded, and the agricultural cooperative organizations involved have also changed. During Japan's postwar period of rapid economic growth, family poultry farms, like other farms, gradually began to work toghther, and formed agricultural cooperative associations, based on the division of labor in Hokkaido. However, by the 1970s, as the scale of expansion progressed, this system gradually became unwidely and was replaced by the dual organization of large-scale poultry farming and the Hokuren Federation of Agricultural Cooperatives. In this paper, after clarifying the concept of the poultry farming complex and its division of labor, we will discuss this reorganization, and the function of the present stage of the agricultural cooperative organization enterprize system.
