Abstract
In recent years, the poultry industry has found itself in an adverse environment of increasing feed costs and declining egg prices. These circumstances have forced poultry producers to take measures to improve management practices. These circumstances have also challenged researchers to look empirically at the current situation in the poultry industry and to point out institutional changes that could help stabilize the poultry sector. In this paper, poultry farm management practices were examined by looking into the marketing strategies and production costs of two operations that are similar in terms of scale (approximately 100,000 birds) but have taken different management approaches.
