水分子の多面体（12，14，16面体）クラスターは，クラスレート水和物の構成要素として近年クラ スレート水和物への関心が高まるのと同じく研究が盛んになってきている．本稿では，最近約10年間 のこの分野での研究を概観する．
Clathrate hydrates are composed of polyhedral water clusters including gas atoms or molecules. Polyhedral water clusters including gases are considered to play an important role for understanding the properties of clath rate hydrates. In this article, I briefly review quantum chemical studies on gas-including polyhedral water clusters.
