“Sliammon” refers to the people of the Tla’amin (Sliammon) First Nation, which is situatedjust north of the city of Powell River in British Columbia, Canada. In this paper, Sliammon isalso used to refer to their traditional language.
本稿は、スライアモン語（北米先住民諸語、セイリッシュ語族）のテキストに、原語、形態素分析とグロス、そして英訳を付けたものである。このテキストは、メアリー・ジョージ氏（故人）によって語られたもので、長さは4分18秒である。内容は、何人かで森に入って木を集めたり、ベリー摘みをしたあと、その森から出てくる時には列を作り、順々に隣に並んだひとの名前を呼ばなくてはいけないという伝統的な慣習について語ったものである。
