Abstract

The evolution of protoplanetary disks is one of the most intensely debated issues in astronomy and planetary science, since the disk is the formation site of planets. There are numerous inconsistencies and missing links among physicalmodelsofdisks, astronomicalobservations, andevidencefrommeteoritestudies.Inthepresentwork, anew model was developed combining physics and chemistry in a protoplanetary disk to solve these inconsistencies. We investigated the chemical evolution of protoplanetary disks with a special interest on the transportation of dust particles in a spatially and temporally changing disk. We found that planets with different chemical compositions shouldhavebeenformedintheearlystageofdiskevolution(~105 years);otherwise, thesolidmaterialsinthedisk, and thus the resultant planetary system, would become chemically homogeneous. The early formation of planetesimals (and planets) is consistent with recent observation of protoplanetary disks with structures that are thought to have been formed by the interaction between the disk and large planets.
