尾瀬地方における植生の植生学的な解明を目的として，植物社会学的な現地調査と植生類型の区分を行った．筆者らが1988～2019年の32年間の現地調査で得られた植生調査資料と他の既発表資料のうち，森林を除く湿原植生から選定した合計1851個の植生データの比較検討を行った結果，既存の植生単位のうち検討を要する群集の問題点の指摘と修正，2つの新群集を記載，および区分された全植生単位の植物社会学的体系化を行い，10クラス，13オーダー，13群団，35群集・54群落にまとめられた．
For the purpose of elucidating vegetation in the Oze district, phytosociological field surveys and classification of vegetation were carried out. Using vegetation survey data obtained from the 32-year field survey from 1988 to 2019 and other published materials, a total of 1,775 relevés selected from moor vegetation excluding forests were compared and examined. As a result, phytosociological vegetation units of 10 classes, 13 orders, 13 alliances, 35 associations and 54 communities including two new communities were classified, and the outline was reported.
