タンパク質を特異的に検出するウェスタン分析は，化学発光を用いる検出法により微量のタンパク質でも強いシグナルが得られるため，強力な実験手法である．本章では，ウェスタン分析の実験手法と抗体の作製法について紹介する．
Western blotting is a powerful tool for detecting with high sensitivity a specific protein resolved by SDS-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis. In this chapter, procedures for western blotting using enhanced chemiluminescence and for generation of antibodies in rabbits are described.
