This research note presents a list of newly identified Japanese language textbooks and books on Japanese language teaching from the prewar and wartime periods owned by Hokkaido University Library and also by the author. The list includes one textbook and three books on Japanese language teaching owned only by Hokkaido University Library. The list provides further important information on publications in this field to the research report edited by Nihongo Kyooikushi Kenkyuukai (Research Group on Historical Study of Japanese Language Teaching) in 1993.
