In this paper, we analyze the practical issues related to the internalization of the feed division in pig farming and its economic efects based on a case study in Aomori Prefecture. The results confirm that internalization of the feed division has helped reduce feed costs and improve business performance, which contributes to economic sustainability in the pig farming business.
