　社会的に適応している未婚女性の，注目されることの少ない生きづらさを当事者の視点から明らかにし，それを通じて現代に普遍的と思える生きづらさについて探索的に検討することを目的とした。30代女性3名に対してインタビュー調査を行い，結果を複線径路・等至性モデルに基づいて分析した。内面化された理想自己と現実自己とのずれ，職業的アイデンティティのみで妻・母としてのアイデンティティを持てないこと，により自尊感情が持ちづらいことが生きづらさと関係していると推察された。また，生きづらさを自己の個人的要因に起因するものと捉える傾向も認められた。現代における生きづらさは，自尊感情を持つことの難しさであるとの仮説が得られた。
　The purpose of this study was to clarify the difficulty of living in socially adapted unmarried women from the point of view of themselves, and to explore the difficulty of living that seems to be universal in modern Japanese society. An interview survey was conducted with three women in their thirties, and the results were analyzed based on Trajectory Equifinality Model. It is presumed that the gap between the internalized ideal self and the real self and the ability to have a professional identity but not the identity of a wife or mother, which makes it difficult to have self-esteem are related to the difficulty of living. There was also a tendency to regard the difficulty of living as being caused by one's personal factors. It was hypothesized that the difficulty of living in modern Japanese society is the difficulty of having self-esteem.
