Abstract: | Abstract - This paper is intended tu elucidate both the content and objectives of the systemic reforms implemented in fiscal 2018 in the internship programs at Hokkaido University and to summarize the impact of the Hokkaido Iburi Tobu Earthquake that struck on September 6, 2018 and what it demonstrated about the state of risk management. The elimination of short-term internships has had some effect in making educational objectives clearer. While some companies did suspended internships in response to the earthquake, others employed considerations such as setting up alternative schedules. However, some issues have become clear with regard to the state of risk management, including imperfections in the structure for contacting students in an emergency. |
