本稿は前半部と後半部からなる。前半部ではニブフ語の類型論的な対照、後半部ではニブフ語とツングース諸語の言語接触を問題にする。前半部は、特に文法に関して、類型論的な観点からニブフ語とその近隣諸言語の異同について対照を行うものである。近隣諸言語としては、特に朝鮮語とツングース諸語を重点的にとりあげる。必要に応じて、日本語、モンゴル語、アイヌ語、エスキモー語などもとりあげる。後半部の言語接触に関しては、ツングース諸語（特にウルチャ語）からニブフ語への借用、もしくはその逆方向への借用をとりあげて論じる。
This paper consists of two parts: in the former, I give a typological characterization of Nivkh and its neighboring languages, especially Korean and Tungusic languages, even though I also refer to Japanese, Mongolian, Ainu, and Eskimo where necessary; in the latter, I discuss the issue of language contact between Nivkh and Tungusic languages, where the focus is on the lexical borrowing between Tungusic (Ulcha in particular) and Nivkh.
