Abstract: In this paper, a unipolar and several bipolar leads which have been used for the horse have been criticized, in view of the specific anatomic position of the equine heart in the body. Because of there not being any other suitable lead, by means of the unipolar lead in which an indifferent electrode was put on the root of the tail, a discussion has been presented on the subject of how depolarization traveles in the heart.
