Abstract: The adenosatellite virus (ASV) strain M, associated with the infectious canine hepatitis virus (ICHV) strain Matsuda, was propagated in a dog kidney cell culture and purified. The purified ASV, at a density of 1.37~1.38 g/cm^3 in CsCl, did not agglutinate human 0 red cells and was identified by the complement fixation test as ASV type 3.
