| Abstract: | Creativity is becoming more important, especially as we progress in the age of information technology. Thus the provision of creative learning, knowledge creation opportunity and its support are currently recognized as a main subject for library managers and practitioners. This article reports progressive approach of Web based LC Portal System （Library Center Portal System） at KIT, Kanazawa Institute of Technology. This system was built in 2004 and is based on up-to-date knowledge management theories and researches at KIT. It provides newly developed Web interfaces for users to express, share and create knowledge. This new knowledge creation system is featured by virtual library and shared book review. The system can provide users with evolutionary creative learning progress at library by participatory approach. It is believed that the system can be a unique and interesting model for future library management. |
