Abstract: | The disease such as AIDS spreads in Africa, several ten million people have gotten a serious disease. However, a lot of poor people cannot receive enough treatment. The main factor is a too high price of the medicine. A systematic problem of the patent right causes the rise of medical price. The patent owner can claim the patent fee to use and to research for the invention. The patent fee escalates into a chain reaction to develop the latest medicine, and the development cost expands. As a result, sales price of the medicine becomes very expensive. Some social entrepreneurs propose the research system named "Open Source Biotechnology" to ease such a bad effect. The developed research shares the patent in this research system, and this research system can suppress the research and development costs. In addition, the software research use the similar research system. |
