Abstract: This is the fourth report of the investigation on a farm society at the village of Kai Xian Gong, which is a village of Sunan Area, China. The first report describes the changes of land ownership and land use after liberation in China. In terms of land ownership, the obvious characteristics are that farm lands are being converted to factory sites due to village industrialization and inland water land is increasing due to Shanghai Crab aqua farming. Recently, as inland water land use has increased greatly, land area for rice paddy cultivation and silk cultivation has decreased greatly. In this situation, the forms of land ownership have been having various aspects, which seems to be connected with the distribution system of earnings collected by selling out land or land rentals of each group. Although the farmland in this village has had frequent changes, from 2000 these changes are limited to the farms that do not have good opportunities for farm land use conversion or part-time job opportunities. This situation follows the relative equality principle. Therefore, it is difficult for farmlands that have convenient transportation and farmland conversion opportunities to have farmland adjustment. We have divided them into categories, to understand the meaning of land ownership.
