昨年は北海道大学で、今年はフィンランドでシンポジウムを開催します。気候変動と世界の経済動向によって急速に変化している北方圏の環境を対象とした共同研究と、それを将来的に支える若手研究者の育成について、最新の成果を共有します。また、北方圏に関わる多分野の研究者が研究協力を発展させていくための計画を共に議論します。

As the environment in northern regions has rapidly changes due to climate change and other global processes, this symposium will introduce the latest outcomes of collaborative programs in research as well as in education to train young researchers. The symposium was held in Hokkaido last year and will be in Finland this year where discussion will pick up on joint programs and the feasibility of research plans.
