| Abstract: | There is a demand for cooperation with farmers and local residents to maintain the irrigation and drainage facilities. In this study, we analyzed and evaluated the factor of local residents' participation in the maintenance works of irrigation and drainage facilities, using a questionnaire survey. As a result, we found that these are important to notify the works, to explain about the multi-purpose function of these facilities, and to plan the appropriate operation work for promoting local residents participate in the irrigation and drainage facilities' maintenance works. |
