| Abstract: | Sakha hasseveral sentence-final cliticsfor both propositional and interpersonal
modalityexpressions. This paper first classifies Sakha sentence-finalclitics
aspropositional or interpersonal, and thendescribes theirusage. In Sakha, interestingly,
this semantic-based classification of modalclitics reflects their morphosyntactic
behaviorsin several respects, such as the position of person/number marking and the
relative order of theclitics. |
