Abstract: The reaction of [Cu(PF6)2(py)4] (py = pyridine) with [Cu(CH3SO3)2(py)4], both of which are Werner-type Cu(II) complexes, in a MeOH solution led to the formation of a one-dimensional framework composed of [-{Cu(1)2(MeO)2}-Cu(2)-Cu(3)-Cu(3)-Cu(2)-] repeating units bridged by inorganic CH3SO3- anions.
