| Abstract: | The purpose of this paper is to analyze the relation between the irrigation management level and socio-economic condition in Hokkaido. The result shows socio-economic conditions influencing irrigation management levels differ between Hokkaido and other prefectures, and that social diversity and fragmentation of land size have a significantly negative effect on irrigation management levels. |
