Abstract: | At the Fujiishi farm in Abashiri, Hokkaido, from 2010 before the Act on Promotion of the "Sixth Industry" enforcement, he is working on the vegetables processing business which had developed a new vegetable product as snacks “SAIKON TO”. In this paper, we showed the present conditions of his business and the prospects in the future of this business. Furthermore, we would like to discuss a problem and the superiority of the AFFrinnovation (the sixth industry) by farmers. We should point out that it is very difficult for an individual farmer to promote the AFFrinnovation. From past experience, it seems appropriate to remark that farmer will cooperate with a specialized company in each sector, that means processing sector, and distribution and sales sector of “sixth sector” company instead of handling all sectors. In vegetables processing business, we should note that the superiority of farmer is to be able to create the fresh vegetable which are suitable for processing and respective needs of specified consumers. |
