| Abstract: | The purpose review was to examine the evidence regarding awareness of cancer, its risk factors, signs and symptoms, hence also find the existing knowledge gap from the research done in eight Asian countries. Various aspects of cancer were searched using databases like Pubmed, Google Scholar. Ten papers were reviewed for theis study. This study shows that awareness about cance in many Asian countries like Saudi Arabia, India, Japan, Oman, Jordan is still at infancy and there are inadequate activities in these countries regarding cancer awareness promotion. Very few papers have addressed about cancer and their manifestations and focused on strong need of educational and informational programs to spread awareness among Asian people. |
