Abstract:	はじめに: 北海道に現存するカラマツ造林地は50万haで、全造林地の30%を占め、トドマツとともに北海道を代表する主要な造林樹種である。道内に植栽されたカラマツは、広い範囲で生育が可能で、立地に対する要求度も少なく、初期生育も良く、育苗、育林が容易なことから造林に好適な樹種である。しかし、カラマツ間伐材はは未成熟材部が多く、偏心、曲がり、狂いなどの欠点があげられる。本報告では、道内のカラマツ間伐木を用いて材質試験を行い、間伐材の材質、とくに、未成熟材部の力学的性質について検討を加えた。
