Abstract:	檜山演習林は、夏期に降雨が集中することから、雨水の流下による路面侵食がきわめて発生しやすい条件下にある。路面侵食は、車両の通行障害の原因となることはもちろん、補修にも意外な手間や経費を要することが知られている。そこで平成元年夏にスギ除伐材を利用した簡易な路面排水溝（以下、排水溝）を考案、林内2箇所の林道に設置し、同3年秋まで水処理効果に関する継続調査を行った。
