Abstract:	天塩地方演習林では、針広混交林を作るための、天然更新補助作業の一環として、掻起しや刈り出しを実施してきた。成長の良いカンバ類などについては、掻起しで天然更新が容易に行えることがわかってきたが、より多様な混交林を造成するためには樹種数を増やしてやる必要がある。当林では、掻起し地にたいし、人工下種や植栽による多様な樹種の導入を試みてきた。今回は、広葉樹類の導入を目的としておこなった、奥河地区（奥河林道に沿った掻起し試験地域）の試験地の10年後の状況を報告する。
