Abstract: The purpose of this study is to determine whether climate change will increase or decrease agricultural net revenue in Japan as a whole. This study conducts the first Ricardian model analysis of this issue and finds that agricultural net revenue will decrease across Japan by the end of the twenty-first century. The impacts of climate change are quite different in different regions of the country;an increase in agricultural net revenue is predicted in the northern municipalities, whereas agricultural net revenue is predicted to decline in many other municipalities.
